SEWING LESSONS 🪡🧵

I am diving back into teaching creative classes this year- starting with sewing lessons!

For the moment I am offering in-home classes- meaning I’ll come to you with machine, extra cutting tools and basic supplies and teach you whatever you want to learn!

I’m a self taught seamstress of almost 18 years, with experience in quilting, home decor, basic alterations, custom gowns, authentic steel b***d corsets, and costumes.

I believe that anyone can learn to sew, not just basics but anything you can dream of! While I do ensure that basics and safety are covered, along with machine maintenance and care- my goal is to have you confident enough to tackle that dress, costume, or quilt you’ve had stuck in your mind!

Details :
-$20/hr
-Use of my Machines and Tools for lessons
-Everyone who signs up for 2+ hours receives a pack of digital sewing patterns free.
-Everyone one who signs up for 5+ hours receives a complementary embroidery machine lesson using my machine AND will make a completed project to keep at no additional cost.
-If you sign up for 8 or more hours of lessons you will also get access to my Discord channel where I’ll spend time each day sharing tips, answering sewing questions,or scheduling time to video chat to assist virtually with any further help.

Now that I can share it 👀

On occasion you cross paths with someone whose energy and spirit alter you profoundly.

When I was teetering on the edge of burnout, not feeling good about myself, and considering how to move forward in life; one person really encouraged me to just take a leap ; because life is far too short for ”what-if’s”.

She supported me in so many ways over the last decade (more than? 😭) ; with every new craft, through the loss of a parent, and has even made me the most AMAZING cardigan that is a staple of my wardrobe and ultimate comfort item.

When I learn a new skill I think of Liz, of her encouragement and what is ultimately the Origin Story for my entire artistic venture.

About a year ago she had the pleasure of marrying her soulmate, and that gave me inspiration and motivation for this piece. Not only because I love weddings and what is represented there; but because in the first year of marriage they’ve overcome obstacles and heartache that most don’t experience over the course of a decade. I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of my first large sized and by far most intricate stained glass so far.
I hope when the light shines through it’s a gentle reminder of the warmth and love felt on their wedding day.
