Kits are doing good they are 3 weeks now, they’re eating hay and pellets! Cammy has been an amazing momma to these two!

Here’s a little photo dump!

Update
All is going well!
Now I think we may have two does!

I should be able to tell for certain around 3-4 weeks when they are a little older! I’m really wanting to keep the blue otter or I may wait for the next litter we have to retain one!

Had our first kit escape the nest!

Bentley has also decided to name these kits! 🤣

Blue Otter is Forky
Chocolate is Bonnie

UPDATE;
Blue kit is looking like a Blue Otter.
Chocolate kit may be a Chocolate Otter I’m not 100% certain yet!

But look at these cuddle bugs! I’ll try sexing them around 3 weeks!

Litter Update;
Both peanuts have passed away, leaving us with a total of Two Kits.

Litter Update;
We at least have 1 chocolate and 1 blue. I cannot tell if they are otters or not yet.

Since peanuts typically fail to thrive we are not counting them in our final count or color count. They can last anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks but we are going to enjoy them while they are with us and help them if needed.

Peanuts are kits that have inherited a double dwarf gene, their digestive system typically isn’t fully developed and they usually struggle to keep up with the other kits while feeding and developing. We will keep them comfortable and with their siblings until they pass.

UPDATE
4 total, two look like peanuts so they will most likely fail to thrive.

🐰 Cammy started her nest yesterday!

🎉 My guess is the babies were born about 1:40pm today! You can see her on our camera moving in and out of the nest the most at this time! I do not have a count yet! It will most likely be later today! Overall mom looks to be doing well! 🙌

UPDATE;
So far it’s looking promising! It looks like Cammy may have took and we should be expecting kits the 20th or so!

I will say if kindling goes well and we have any does we will be retaining one to grow out!

UPDATE
If all goes well we should be seeing kits 6/21/26. Making them ready to hop around 8/2/26! 🤞
