I can’t believe it’s half way through August already and it starting to feel like summer is almost over 😭
However I have some things to look forward to this fall. Sweatshirt weather, all the fall color changes, walks in the woods with the pup without sweating profusely, but what I’m extra excited about is some new opportunities within my business!
Starting this September 2021, this amazing space will be my private movement studio, where I will be offering private Pilates, yoga, and strength training sessions as well as filming my on-demand and livestream classes.
Over the years I have been building my client base around the city, often traveling to clients homes or businesses and driving all over town. However with this space I will be shifting my energy to focus on equipment based private and duet sessions in this gorgeous room located inside The Breathing Room studio.
I am so thrilled about this next chapter of my business and look forward to sharing the joy of movement with more people. Signups for private and duet sessions starting soon 💫

This morning one of my prenatal now turned postnatal clients and I were talking about the importance of setting foundation in the body during the postpartum recovery period.
Each sessions I’ve layered in progressively challenging moves or had her hold things for longer, and she is rocking it to the point that incontinence issues are gone and she is playing with some jump trampoline classes 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Every woman’s body and pregnancy experience is different but what is beneficial for all is starting back with movements that really help you understand what is firing , what muscles need support and how to breathe with it all which is the major deal sealer in postnatal recovery.
That doesn’t mean you are stuck during bird dogs forever, or even the whole time during a workout. But getting your form and function solid can help you build on more challenging and dynamic movements when you’re ready.

Pelvic Floor + Core Connection
I wanted to share this short class that I filmed for my on-demand platform Move + Thrive Online, so you can get a taste of some of the different offerings in the subscription platform.
I have a special place in my heart for core + pelvic floor exercises not only because I teach Pilates and work with so many pre/postnatal clients but also because I have learned so much about how my own body works through learning more about the PF and core and that knowledge has any helped me get stronger.
Whether you are pregnant, postnatal, or never planning on having kids, pelvic floor and core connection is important for a happy functioning body.
