The Incline District

ice Hill (now three burroughs: Lower, East, & West Price Hill) to become a thriving area entirely within the city proper, known then for its 1st and 2nd generation Irish and German Catholic immigrants. Those roots remain, although the area has enjoyed new diversity over the years, including generations of many African-American and Appalachian families, and most recently, a new Guatemalan community. The real estate development is also delightfully differentiated: from historical, late-19th century mansions, to numerous 20th century houses and apartment buildings, to the brand new 21st century townhomes and condominiums of today; there are Italianate row houses, Shingle and Queen Anne Victorians, Colonials, and many varieties of Arts-and-Crafts four squares and bungalows. The Incline District is an architecturally rich neighborhood in many ways. This page is run by local residents, who have lived in and have loved the neighborhood for many years. We are not owned, sponsored, or persuaded by any business, corporation, or entity. This is, for now anyway, purely volunteer and out of passion.
