Most tree problems don’t start in the canopy - they start below the ground, in the soil and root system.

At Arbor Doctor, our approach to Plant healthcare focuses on preservation arboriculture: prioritizing soil health, identifying underlying stress factors, and supporting long-term tree preservation, rather than relying on short term fixes.

healthy soil is critical to healthy trees. Compacted, soils, buried, root, flares, poor oxygen exchange, and root stress can all contribute to decline in the urban landscape.

This is why our soil and root care services are designed to:
🍃 improve soil structure and aeration
🍃 support beneficial soil biology
🍃 encourage healthier root development
🍃reduce stress on trees
🍃 help extend the life of trees in the urban forest

Our work can include:
-soil bioaeration
-air knife tilling
-vertical mulching
-root crown excavation (RCE)

Correcting an improving, the soil environment is one of the most important steps in helping trees become healthier, more resilient, and less reliant on chemical intervention over time.

🌳 Long-term tree health starts below the surface.
