Be. Extremely. Careful. this holiday season when buying items in Department and Electronic Stores.

Hackers "Gather" Credit Card and personal information during this time of the year and use it for next years holiday season. Don't be one of the individuals with your Bank accounts wiped out inhibiting your purchasing ability!

Here are a few ways to keep yourself safe and more importantly; your money in your bank account:

1. Never Pay with a personal Credit/Debit Card.

2. Try to use CASH whenever necessary

3. Never use ACH payments during the holiday season

3. If credit/debit is required, use a reloadable debit/credit card. They are cheap and can be thrown away when they are not being used anymore.

4. Purchases online should be treated with caution. This type of purchase is one of the few ways where you bank account could be affected with an unauthorized transaction(s) inside of a week of exposure to the online store.

5. Do not click on unverified links in a E-Mail message. The trick to staying safe when viewing E-Mails is to hover over links and check the Link URL and ensure you are being taken to the right website.

7. Make sure you are able to see a Green Padlock at the top left of the search bar on any website you are looking to purchase items from.
