Curious about the history of your home or property? Join us on Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m.–noon at the Downtown Main Library for an introduction to property history research in Hamilton County and the resources that can help you uncover the story behind your address. No reservation required.

Every second Thursday of the month, connect with workforce development services and resources from Easterseals Redwood, CHPL's Adult Education and Workforce Development, and Brighton Center.

Summer fun is happening every week at the Downtown Main Library! Kids in grades K–3 can join Acorn Club on Wednesdays from 2–3 p.m. for crafts, challenges, sensory play, indoor camping, and more. Older kids in grades 4–8 can check out Pinecone Cadet on Thursdays from 2–3 p.m. for activities like anime, slime, LEGO building, robots, gaming, and Comic Con fun.

Join us on Sunday, June 7, from 4–5 p.m. at Bay Horse Cafe (625 Main St.) for a discussion on Cincinnati native Robert Lowry, once hailed by Ernest Hemingway as one of America’s best young writers. Learn how the O. Henry Award winner rose to literary fame before spending his final years as a regular at the Bay Horse.

The Button Book Club is here! Kids and teens can read, share, and collect fun book-themed pins all month long. Choose a book at the right level—Picture Books, Beginning Reads, Middle Grade, or Teen—then come back anytime to write or draw your favorite part. June picks include:

Join public historian and author Jacob Hogue on Friday, June 5, from 4-6 p.m., for a special author talk and book signing for his debut book, "Cincinnati Before Stonewall: The Untold Q***r History of the Queen City." In this engaging presentation, Hogue explores the hidden LGBTQ+ history of Cincinnati, uncovering remarkable stories of community, resistance, scandal, and resilience long before the modern gay rights movement.
