When did so many of us decide we had to be good at something before we were allowed to enjoy it?

In this month's Trail Mix newsletter, I wrote about why I've been intentionally becoming a beginner again. From teaching myself to sew, taking shuffle dancing classes, singing in a pop-up choir, introducing myself to local businesses, and taking the leap into full-time freelancing, I've realized that confidence isn't something you wait for. It's something you build by trying.

Designing the branding for this newsletter was way too much fun. I wanted it to feel like an extension of the Nicole Chance Design brand, but with a little more whimsy and personality.

It's colorful, playful, a little quirky, and inspired by the mix of creativity, adventure, and everyday moments that you'll find inside each issue.

I'm excited to share that I'll be one of the featured Chalk Mural Artists at CliftonFest Art & Music Festival 2026! 🎉

This will be my first time participating, and I can't wait to create a brand new piece right on the sidewalks of the Gaslight Clifton neighborhood. There's something so fun about making art in a space where people can watch it come to life and experience it together!
