June is National Pollinator Month! Pollinators play an important role in the ecosystem, including pollinating many of the agricultural plants we rely on for food. Planting native plants in your yard will not only attract beneficial bees, butterflies and other insects, but will also benefit the environment.

Thank you to all of the local artists, auction bidders, and barrel buyers that made this year's Rain Barrel Art Project a success! Now that our annual Rain Barrel Art Project is over, we wanted to share some of the impressive numbers from this year's project.

We raised more than $14,000, which will be split between the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.

We had 113 artist entries, and 40 artists were selected. 12 of those artists were from local elementary, middle, or high schools.

Impressively, One auction winner drove 950 miles to Florida, where one barrel will be permanently residing. Additionally, two barrels went to New Jersey, and one barrel went to a home in Wisconsin.
