DAAP Galleries
Gallery hosts exhibitions that focus on the fields of study associated with the College of DAAP, with emphasis on current work in those disciplines brought in from outside the college to enrich the exposure of students to work produced elsewhere. Memorial Gallery is a venue for presenting the work of DAAP faculty and students to the University community, and hosts other exhibitions broadly reflecting the varied disciplines associated with the larger University community.
Join us for the reception on March 12th from 5 to 7 PM.
Step inside Reed Gallery and explore Nam June Paik in Cincinnati: A History, an exhibition that revisits a remarkable chapter in Cincinnati’s art scene.
From 1983 to 2003, artist Nam June Paik, Carl Solway Gallery, and printmaker Mark Patsfall collaborated to form the Paik Factory, producing more than 400 artworks and internationally recognized video sculptures while employing many local artists.
Through Patsfall’s narration, documentation, and imagery, the exhibition traces the creative process behind these works, from early sketches to finished sculptures and major museum exhibitions.

DAAP feels a little emptier this semester… Here's why.
They didn’t go missing; they went on a field trip.
After sitting on the fifth floor of DAAP for nearly 20 years, Ethan and Violet were quietly relocated to the Contemporary Arts Center as part of a UC Art Collection exhibition. The move left students confused, nostalgic, and asking questions, including the artist himself.
Now on view downtown, the beloved statues are getting a moment beyond campus before returning home this spring.
“Sometimes, even icons need a change of scenery.”
