What’s Next?

Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn.

If you are late to this party it’s ok.

Let’s get caught up.
My name is Heather and I made a career of helping people gift better.
After 25 years, Nest closed its Hyde Park location.
Why you ask?
Simply put, the building Nest rented for the last 14 years was sold to a real estate developer. The property is said to be torn down to access the proposed development from Michigan Ave.
Bad Luck?
Maybe.
To be clear, my business was great! For the last four years Nest has survived and thrived. I was really getting good at this!
So whats next?
I don’t know yet but I’m taking my time to explore what I might like my life to look like.
For now, it will be emails and Instagram that I share with all of you.
Please stay tuned. There is definitely more to come.

Up until this point I wasn’t loving this statement. I don’t know, maybe it’s true.

Maybe I can trust that this is exactly where I am supposed to be.

January 28th my husband John
had a bad fall.
(Don’t text and walk down stairs!)

First a trip to the ER, then the next day we went Beacon Orthopedic. Friday, Nest was cleared out by a team of movers. Monday morning we were at a surgery center getting Johns damaged quad tendon and a shattered kneecap fixed up. He’s non weight bearing and in a leg brace. We are looking at several months of recovery.

John continues to be optimistic. He forges onward with a positive outlook at each turn.

Suddenly I went from shutting down
my business of 25 years to caring
for my husband.

The upside is that I could be there for John 100%!
This has been an unbelievable gift.
The gift of time.
The gift of love.
