Resident Spotlight: Meet Andrew!

"What brought me to Serenity was the desperation to get clean. I was at the absolute lowest point of my life. My family wasn't talking to me, I was homeless, scared, and an absent father. I knew I didn't want to live like that anymore and had to do something. While I was in rehab, I was told about Serenity and moved in.

Serenity has helped me in my recovery in every way possible. From staying clean to finding myself again and learning to love life again, they helped pull me out of the dark place I had been stuck in for so long. Living at Serenity has helped me rebuild relationships with my family, become a present father, and find friends who have turned into brothers.

Today, I am focused on creating structures in my life and living by it day in and day out. I've already accomplished goals in a short amount of time, but I believe the sky is the limit. With the foundation and structure, I'm building, along with the support network I have around me, I know I can accomplish anything I set my mind to."

Resident Spotlight: Meet Dillion!

"Addiction took me to places I never thought I’d end up. It stripped away my self-worth, damaged relationships, and left me feeling hopeless. Coming to Serenity House wasn’t just about getting clean, it was about finally admitting I couldn’t do this alone.

I’m here because I want a different life. My biggest goals are to rebuild my foundation in NA, learn to trust the process, and become the man and father I’ve always been capable of being. I want to live with honesty, integrity, and purpose instead of fear and addiction.

If I could tell someone who is just starting their recovery journey one thing, it would be don’t quit before the miracle happens. Lean on the people who have walked this path before you, even when you don’t want to. Recovery isn’t easy, but it’s worth every ounce of effort because the life waiting on the other side is one you never thought was possible."
