Campbell County breaks ground on its largest project to date!

Last month, our KPFF Cincinnati team joined the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Campbell County Administration Building, a roughly $50 million investment that will strengthen community services and bring public servants together in one central location.

KPFF is providing the structural engineering for two buildings totaling nearly 89,000 SF, including a primary services center with an ICC 500-compliant storm shelter and a support structure that will house vehicles for the county fleet. Both are classified as Risk Category 4 essential facilities.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support a project designed for those who serve Campbell County and the residents who rely on them.


As the largest project in Campbell County history by both cost and scale, this roughly $50 million facility will provide a high-quality, central office space for public servants, including police officers, social workers, dispatchers, coroners, and many others who support the region.

KPFF Cincinnati provided structural engineering for the main building, which includes masonry walls, a steel roof system, roof pop-ups, a unique entry vestibule, and a built-in tornado shelter rated for high winds. A support structure behind the main building will also house vehicles for the county fleet.

Projects like this matter because they strengthen essential services, support the people behind them, and help communities prepare for the future.

We are excited to see this office expansion come to life. This project adds 39,000 SF through a 3-story steel-framed vertical expansion above an existing 3-story concrete post-tensioned building, along with 73,000 SF of renovation.
With a complex structural system and carefully designed connections, the team developed a solution that helps reduce loads on the existing structure while creating space for continued growth.
