Did you hear the news today? All Painted Tree Boutique locations are closed, effectively immediately.

Around noon today, over 10,000 vendors across two dozen states were notified that all operations have ceased & we have a matter of days with very limited hours to collect our mini storefronts. While we *only* have three locations within two states, many vendors have multiple locations in multiple states and that makes me so sad.

On one hand, we are relieved in that it has become challenging to navigate the uncertain operations occurring, including money owed by the company balanced with not feeling comfortable investing more inventory and resources into the store that has led to needing to make necessary modifications for our regular Painted Tree customers not finding what they love in store. Sometimes things have a way of showing you the correct path to take, even if dramatic.

On the other hand, we are saddened to leave a space we have invested so much time & energy into to create a presence in our customer's communities. We are sad for all the lost revenue the vendors have & will experience, the loss of so many jobs, the loss of integral small business representation, and the loss of connection we had with our Painted Tree customers over the past three years. Please keep everyone in your thoughts during this time, especially as everyone scrambles to collect their things & not lose more.

For awhile, we will be offering automatic FREE SHIPPING on our website for all orders over $30 to help bridge the gap with our customers while we continue to decide and work towards what is next. Thank you for showing up for us at Painted Tree and for continuing to support Chicory Tea Co. And, the deepest thank you to my village for helping me retrieve my belongings in all the corners of Ohio & Kentucky.
