There’s level to this
💪🏾

I’m doing my best to coexist in a world
That is determined to negate my existence
While simultaneously putting upon a pedestal my features..

This world loves me as long it’s NOT me.

It loves me when my super abilities are so quiet they’re nearly invisible
While it takes the credit for all of this beauty

An intricate weaving of hatred and admiration
While the picture painted screams
Why can’t she just swallow the worlds envy

I keep trying to affirm
The world just gonna have to make room for me!

But you see,
I’m the most unprotected person in the world
I fight but
I’m just a tree
that fell in the middle of the forest
That no one frequents.

I hold my value close
As I do not mind being alone

However I do mind the gaslights
Forced upon all sides of the story

I do mind there being no room for me to simply be me.
I do mind and since I’ve done all that I can

All there’s left to do,
Is to create.

To release & repeat.

To swing one mo gin
Because it’s still my set.
Im still up to bat
With slow and steady progress…
