Cleaning Tip: Recipes

Paper: If you are sentimental like I am, You have books and books of recipes handed down from your mother and grandmother. Take the afternoon to organize these recipes by putting them into a book according to what they are. If you don't have a recipe book or box, simply get an organizer, write on the tabs categories and sort this way eliminating recipes that you KNOW you won't make.

Pintrest: Sort according to dishes creating boards for each type. Eliminate recipes you may have saved that sounded good but you know you won't make.

Reels: I am guilty of saving reels on FB or Insta that show me how to make foods and then just leaving them there. Go through and actually write them down or put them to notes on your phone so you actually may make them! Try out a "New Food Friday" with your family trying a new recipe every Friday to w**d out what works for you and what doesn't.

Is it time to clean out the coat closet? I feel by the end of the winter season, all of our closets look they have been hit by a tornado. Here are some tips to help get your winter coat closet in order NOW so next season you are good to go!
1. How many items do you or your family REALLY wear? pull out anything that you didn't wear this season, chances are you won'e wear in next season. Things kids have outgrown? Get rid of them. Send to a shelter or organization that gives others used coats.

2. Rearrange your closet to go from littlest coats to biggest, giving each family member a section. Put a colored tag on each hanger (or tape) so they know where to put their coat after they take it out of the closet next year.

3. How is the space doing in your closet? Things thrown on the top shelf or stuffed into the bottom? Try baskets on the top to store hats, gloves and scarfs. Try plastic shoe boxes on the bottom to store boots and heavy socks. The point, use ALL the space to maximize your organization.

- Use a tennis ball as a magic eraser on your floors to remove scuffs made by shoes
- stinky food disposal? cut up a lemon and put in disposal in small pieces with 2 tablespoons of baking soda, run water and disposal. What about a stinky drain? # tablespoons of mouthwash!
- Stains on clothes? At home, put shaving cream on stain. Let sit for 30 min, rub with a clean white cloth and then rinse before washing. On the go? Club soda on the spill and dab not rub.
- Want to make silverware shiny again? put some balled up tin foil in your dishwasher silverware caddy in the bottom and then run a regular cycle.
