T is for Thermal Imaging.

Thermal tools can locate heat signatures in brush, woods, and low light. But thermal isn’t magic—animals, warm rocks, and even sun-heated surfaces can look convincing. That’s why trained interpretation matters.

Pro Tips:
• Wear bright, high-contrast clothing.
• Stay on established routes when possible.
• If you’re lost, stay put and make yourself visible.

Search works best when people are easier to see and easier to find.

S is for STOP THE BLEED®

🩸 Uncontrolled bleeding is a leading cause of preventable death. Immediate action can mean the difference between life and death. The Stop the Bleed initiative—led by the American College of Surgeons, the Department of Defense, and the Stop the Bleed Coalition—focuses on empowering individuals to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency.

• Apply firm, direct pressure to the wound
• Use a tourniquet for severe limb bleeding
• Pack deep wounds with gauze or cloth
• Call for emergency help as soon as possible

✅️ Preparedness and quick action save lives when every second counts.
