corrosive solutions. Marvin and Elisabeth Harrington founded Harrington Industrial Plastics in 1959. They began by providing the Hollywood film industry with plastic piping, which was a better and less expensive alternative to the steel that was being used at the time for handling the corrosive chemicals that are involved with film processing. In the ensuing five years Marvin and Elisabeth brought Harrington into new and emerging markets that included the airspace, metal finishing, printed circuit board, and plating industries. In 1968 Cliff Springmeier purchased Harrington and continued to build a strong industry foundation. Through much hard work and the highest of standards, Harrington was established as a west-coast powerhouse in the distribution of industrial plastics. Today Harrington is currently owned by a parent company called Aliaxis and we continue to expand our reach into fresh and exciting markets. Since opening Harrington has greatly expanded; now with over 50 branches that have increased our reach from the West Coast to Florida, throughout the New England states, and over to Hawaii. Harrington’s focus on industry requirements, high standards of craftsmanship, product warranty, a dedicated, technically oriented staff, and service ability in virtually every major marketing area in the United States have all contributed the success that we see today. All of our facilities house over $15 million in inventory that includes PVC, CPVC, PVDF, Polypropylene, fiberglass and plastic-lined steel, as well as all of the components for a complete system such as tanks, grating, pumps, and instrumentation. In 1988 our corporate headquarters was moved from Los Angeles, CA to Chino, CA. Here we maintain a 50,000 square foot facility that contains office space for senior management and corporate support functions as well as service, repair, and pipe fabrication areas.
