I prayed long and hard over this decision.

I’ve prayed for a few years in fact over what to do. Knowing that my heart was being pulled in a million different directions and that eventually, I’d have to decide.

Earlier this year, I made the decision to close my business at the end of this year. A few weeks later, I found out I was pregnant. Gods timing is perfect 🤍

I wasn’t sure if I would ever get to be a mom. When you lose every pregnancy you’ve ever had, what else is there? But I did know that I never wanted to be a mom that was too busy with her job or life to be there for her babies. And so I made the decision to close my business, focus solely on my full time job that I absolutely love and give my family, which at the time was Trevor and C**t & Rusty 🐶, the best of me. And now that family includes this sweet little boy I’m already in love with. It was a good decision.

I feel incredibly blessed to be almost halfway through my pregnancy and that things have been *mostly* uneventful. But making this decision was like a really hard breakup. It’s like telling someone you love that it’s really not them, it’s you. And you just know you have to do this. Even though your heart still loves them.

I love photography. I love weddings and the celebrations that come with that chapter for couples. I love seeing people see their photos and realize those beautiful people are THEM. All I did was create the image as it was in front of me.

That said, all of our 2024 clients have been notified and we will be finishing out the 2024 wedding season as scheduled. The MHP team will finish their scheduled weddings but will not be booking any more sessions.

Megan will be open for booking sessions through the end of August. And if you have a gallery with us you should have received an email and will receive reminders prior to your gallery expiry date. That’s all the formalities.

I’m not sure when I’ll be back, or if I’ll be back. I am so grateful for all the amazing clients we’ve had over the years and I cannot wait for this next chapter of life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me and my team.
