This past weekend, Julia and Mark tied the knot in one of the most breathtaking—and windy—locations we’ve ever seen: Donner Summit. With just 20 of their closest loved ones, they said “I do” surrounded by blue skies, mountain views, and so much love. 💙

Yes, the wind was wild (so wild that the bride’s veil flew right off the summit!), but in true Julia fashion, she laughed and said, “She gone!” 💨💁‍♀️ It was one of those real, unforgettable moments that made the day so authentically them.

Afterward, everyone made their way down the mountain to a cozy and elegant dinner in a private room at Moody’s Bistro in downtown Truckee. Every detail—from the intimate setting to their Kings jersey guestbook—was a perfect reflection of their story. 💕

Hi, I’m Ashley, the owner of North State Events! I’m passionate about event planning and love bringing people together for some of life’s biggest moments. My motto is “be a guest at your own event”—I believe the host should enjoy every part of the celebration, just like the guests do.

When I’m not planning events, you’ll find me being a busy mom to my three daughters—10, 8, and 5. They are my world! I love taking my boat out on the lake whenever I can, and when it comes to food, you’ll catch me enjoying a good steak, sushi, or Chipotle. Blue is my favorite color, and health and wellness are super important to me, so I prioritize exercise and staying active.

I feel incredibly blessed that my business is thriving, and I’m beyond grateful for all the strong, incredible women on my team who bring my vision to life every day.
