Rattlesnake Talisman
A favorite story of mine is how the rattlesnake got his rattle, a Lakota legend of how diamond snake was the first to step up to take the poison from Vine and had the clever idea to smash his own tail to make a rattle to warn anyone who approached.
The rattlesnake carries both warning and medicine: a reminder of sacrifice, protection, boundaries and the power of transforming harm into strength.

* this rattlesnake was processed by me. I didn’t not kill it. In rattler areas it’s common for people to kill them. I have been gifted them and honor their life and beauty with deep respect. Some are found on the road as well… In a perfect world I would be called to relocate them… maybe someday💚
