๐Ÿ’œ June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month ๐Ÿ’œ

Together, we can help protect and support older adults in our communities by raising awareness, recognizing the signs of abuse, and promoting dignity, respect, and safety for all seniors.

Passages Ombudsman Program advocates for the rights, dignity, and quality of life of residents living in long-term care facilities.

The program helps address concerns, resolve complaints, and ensure that older adults are treated with respect and compassion. Through advocacy, education, and support, the Ombudsman Program works to give residents and their families a voice and peace of mind.

๐Ÿ”น Male Caregiving: How to Thrive While Caregiving ๐Ÿ”น

Men are socialized to be stoic, self-reliant and self sacrificing. Thatโ€™s a recipe for trouble when caring for others dealing with serious health issues. Care partners need to be able to feel and reveal their struggles to navigate emotions such as resentment, depression and anxiety. Join us and guest speaker, Ed Frauenheim, coauthor of Reinventing Masculinity, for this session. Learn how male caregivers can thrive by exploring burdens of caregiving, discussing how traditional expectations for men can hurt, and developing new practices to help improve wellbeing.

Date: MONDAY, JUNE 22, 2026
Time: 10:30AM โ€“ 12PM | DOORS OPEN @ 10AM
Location: ST. JOHNโ€™S EPISCOPAL CHURCH 2341 FLORAL AVE. IN CHICO
