Giving Day is less than a week away now! Hope you're excited!!

As a reminder, Giving Day is on March 4th this year, and donations are accepted up to that date, day-of, and for a brief while after for any late comers. 😉
These donations help us make the CFC a free event, and keep it open to the public for anyone who wants to learn about forensic science and forensic anthropology. They also help us to support our amazing speakers who take the time out of their busy schedules to attend the conference and present! ❤️

Thank you all for interacting, donating, and sharing, we hope to make this year’s Chico Forensic Conference one for the books!

Forensic Anthropology at Chico State enters a new era! Chico State is breaking ground on the new Human Identification Laboratory (HIL), a cutting-edge facility that will expand the abilities to serve communities across California and beyond.

The HIL is California’s only full-time forensic anthropology lab and the largest west of Texas. Its dedicated team has helped recover and identify victims of disasters like the 2018 Camp Fire and the Maui and Los Angeles wildfires, working alongside partners such as Cal OES, the Department of Defense, and the FBI.

The new 28,600-square-foot building will expand lab space, triple refrigeration capacity, and include advanced DNA and isotope labs. It’s designed to give Chico State students more opportunities to learn, research, and serve communities in need.

Join us for the groundbreaking celebration!
