GOOD MORNING IT’S PLAYOFFS TIME 🌞 Your Knotty Oaks traveling to San Jose today to face in round 1! ❤️🖤

Capping off our season with a win, the Oaks rallied to defeat 57-24 this past Saturday! A huge storm and a lightning break couldn’t stop us from playing our best. Thank you so much to Silicon Valley for the great game (and for the very cute hats), as well as to for being such wonderful hosts! 🖤❤️

Our forward of the match was Vanessa .moza ! Vanessa came into the match in the second half and immediately made her presence known. Along with scoring a dominant try for us, she also made several steals and fought HARD to keep the ball on both offense and defense. We are very sad that we have to give her back to Chico State as their coach when the new school year starts 🥲

Our back of the match, with a second win in a row after last week, was Maxine !! Max played another fierce game, leading the charge in several line breaks, scoring a try, and gaining us key positioning. Her ferocious energy is a huge asset to us on the pitch and we are so thankful to have had her back this season!!

While this match marks the end of our 2026 15s season, we’ll be back soon with our Tuesday sevens practices starting up in late May! Keep an eye out 👀 for our upcoming summer sevens post and tournament schedule 🫶

We spent the weekend in Reno and had a blast! Although we came up short on the pitch, the Oaks played a fierce game and an even better third half at our social afterwards. are always a joy to play with, and we’re so excited for our next match with y’all! ❤️🖤

Our forward of the match was MJ , who scored her first career try on Saturday!!! MJ was a tough, decisive pod leader who did an excellent job staying open and supporting the back line, culminating in an offload from the backs that led to a try (and she shot the boot like a champ too 🎉)

Our back of the match was Maxine with her second nomination of the season! Max is back on the pitch for the first time after a month away and immediately put up a stellar performance. Along with scoring a try for us, she pulled off several line breaks and pressured the hell out of Reno’s offense!!

Our final game of the season will be played in Sacramento against Silicon Valley on Saturday, before we head over to watch the Pacific Four doubleheader! Details coming 🔜
