Hello Folks!

We hope you're all doing well, here is what is occuring! Our Next event is approaching fast, and we hope to all see you at it on the 27th!

Coming into play post:

Autumn has come to the land of Adrel, and with the seasons changing come many changes for the City-State of Edgeland. Heralded as Heroes by the Church for their part in the removal of the Heretic sect of the Rebel Visage, the relations between the newly created Government and the world congregation have warmed significantly.

The Unfortunate status of the citizens of New Davenport has been investigated by the Edgeland Naval forces. The Former City is no more, made into a landscape of sand and dust only rarely interrupted by gems of various types. The Navy reports that many of the citizens that were on the outskirts of town, and those in the rural outlying areas, have survived what is being referred to as the Glassing of New Davenport. Many of these refugees are seeking assistance from anyone willing to help.

Reports state that a small group of trader vessels is heading toward Crabsfall Bay. The Ships are in all different shapes and sizes, some of them brand new, others are obviously bailing waters from a slow leak. While the ships themselves are difficult to attach to any specific region, the people aboard the ships are not. Flowing robes and clothes, an abundance of Jewelry, and the weather worn faces tell onlookers that these are from the Bezra. While no one has yet spoken with the ships, the rumors state they are flying to the aid of those affected by the Glassing.

The nights of Autumn have finally cooled from the Summer, and most have been comforted by the change and slept soundly, that is not the case for the local Weavers and Tea Mages. Since the sightings of the strange figure cackling through town pushing down buildings and making their ‘mark’ on every item in sight, their dreams have made sleep less restful. The night is interrupted by what they can only describe as a deep feeling of emptiness and hollowness inside of them. Some have taken to drink, food, or other libations to try and fill this void.

While those Civic minded citizens and members of the government have been restoring what is left of the sewer system, there is much work still left to do. The loss of the sewers has caused a great deal of distress among the citizens who were relying on it as part of their daily lives, not to mention the rats that have been displaced from the depths into the streets.

While the town is mostly restful, there have been Howls in the forests that have never been heard before, and some farmers have reported hills moving overnight. While no attacks have been reported, most attribute these occurrences to the Fae. Still, the hills have not moved before…

Rumors:

There is a caravan of Refugees heading for Edgeland from the New Davenport area.

The small fleet of ships on the Horizon Appear to be mostly containing Bezran people

Tea mages and Weavers have been deep in their drinks lately

The Farmers have been saying the hills have been moving

The rats have been coming up from the sewers.

Hello folks,

Those on our staff and among our player base who were unable to participate during the cancelled event are on their way to a full recovery, so far as our team is aware. We thank everyone for their understanding about the issue. It was unexpected for us and the response from you all warmed our cold, dead staff hearts (humor). We are looking forward to our upcoming year and will be entertaining you at every opportunity we can. There are a few announcements that everyone should be aware of about the upcoming season that will be effecting certain aspects of the way our games will be held in the near future.

Staff Reorganization and Redistribution of responsibility

Our Founder and one of our Directors, Ryan, has made the difficult and personal decision to focus on other aspects of their life that need attention currently. We applaud his courage and wisdom in taking the time to focus on these aspects. Due to this, other members of our staff will be taking on the responsibilities that he was handling. Part of those responsibilities were scheduling and site management. While our time at the current site has been incredibly enjoyable, our team will be exploring other locations for our games. Many of these locations will also take place in other locales within the game.

Rework of the current rulebook

While the mechanics of our current rulebook are serviceable, we have had several discussions with players about how we can create a better and more streamlined game experience with some adjustments. Rebalancing some of the skills and colleges will be addressed in a new rework of the games mechanics. We appreciate anyone's feedback on this rework, so if there are any skills that you feel strongly about please let us know. If we don't know something is broken, it is difficult to properly fix. Also, if there are any aspects of the game that are unique and you want to stay the same as it is currently, we also want to hear about it.

Planned State of the Organization

We will be planning some 'remote' meetings coming up early next year for players to participate in. Primary these meetings will be about informing our community of any upcoming events, plans, and other matters regarding the current state of our community. We will be available for questions during these times, but questions submitted before the meetings will likely get more satisfying answers than the idle meanderings of myself trying to find the right word for a certain type of cheese that the hillfolk make during winter (this is an example more of where my mind would go if you asked about the Farrelli Alliances food resources)
