Affordable housing for ALL residents in the 27th Ward!

Chicago’s reputation as a relatively affordable big city isn’t doing much for its poorest renters.

The Chicago metro area has only 31 affordable rental homes available for every 100 extremely low-income households, according to a report by Housing Action Illinois and the National Low Income Housing Coalition.

Because of that shortage, 76% of families earning less than 30% of AMI spend more than half of their income on rent.

The reasons behind Chicago’s affordable housing crunch go beyond basic supply and demand.

The 27th Ward deserves leadership that listens.
