2019 Scholarship Applications are now available!
Hello NAAIA Members and Supporters:

On May 22, 2019, the 13th annual National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) Chicago Scholarship Luncheon will be held at the Union League Club in Chicago, Illinois. Over the past twelve years, we have awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to deserving students in the Chicago area. One of our ongoing missions is to expose young people in our community to the insurance industry and recognize their positive accomplishments during these challenging times.

Through these scholarships, NAAIA Chicago is proud to reach out to the next generation of industry talent. Our theme for 2019 is “Success Has No Limits“, and by supporting the outstanding academic achievements and personal triumphs of these young people, we cement our legacy and invest in future leaders.

NAAIA Chicago Facilitate growth, development, empowerment and career enhancement among African American insurance professionals.

NAAIA Chicago presented the final professional development event for 2018 on Thursday, the "Executive Up Close & Personal Series" featuring Joyce Trimuel, Chief Operations and Diversity Officer for CNA and moderated by Tanya Hinton CEO of DSS Global.

We thank Ms. Trimuel for her insights on navigating your career, working with and acquiring sponsors, having tough conversations, working through adversity, and being prepared.

Enjoyed participating in the 12th annual NAAIA Chicago scholarship luncheon on May 16th at the Union League Club. We awarded seven scholarships to African American high school seniors from the City of Chicago and suburbs. Our keynote speaker was Robert Johnson, Managing Partner, Solomon Group (formerly of East Chicago Heights). It's very rewarding when you can assist potential future leaders as they start their college journey in the fall.
