🚨 HATE HAS NO HOME IN CHICAGO 🚨

In response to the recent cross burning in Grant Park, Father Michael L. Pfleger and the Faith Community of Saint Sabina are taking a stand against hatred, racism, and intimidation.

The burning cross is not merely an act of vandalism—it is a historic symbol of terror, fear, and racial hatred. Such acts have no place in our city, our communities, or our nation.

To assist law enforcement in identifying those responsible, Father Michael L. Pfleger and the Faith Community of Saint Sabina are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals involved.

“We will not be intimidated by hate. We will not be silent in the face of injustice. We will continue to stand for peace, justice, and the dignity of every human being.” – Father Michael L. Pfleger

As people of faith, we are called not only to condemn hate but to confront it with courage, truth, and action. We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist authorities in their investigation.

Let this be a message to those who seek to divide us: We are stronger together. Love is greater than hate. Light will always overcome darkness.

The Faith Community of Saint Sabina remains committed to building bridges, pursuing justice, and creating a city where every person is valued, respected, and safe.

✌🏾 PEACE TAKEOVER 2026 ✌🏾

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

The central theme of the Peace Takeover is rooted in the Gospel of Matthew and the powerful call to be peacemakers in a world too often marked by violence, division, and despair.

As we reflect on the words of Rev. Michael L. Pfleger, we are reminded that peace is not passive—it is active. Peace requires courage. Peace requires presence. Peace requires a commitment to stand in the gap for our children, our neighborhoods, and our future.

Through the powerful lens and storytelling of Joseph Saunders, this video captures more than an event—it captures a movement. A movement of faith leaders, community members, families, and young people coming together to reclaim our streets, restore hope, and demonstrate that love is stronger than hate.

The Peace Takeover is a declaration that our communities deserve safety, dignity, opportunity, and healing. It is a reminder that every act of compassion, every prayer offered, every hand extended, and every life uplifted is part of the work of peacemaking.

Thank you to the Faith Community of Saint Sabina and all who continue to answer the call to be instruments of God’s peace.
