๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ In 1976, Kommaly Chanthavong gathered ten women displaced by war to preserve the art of traditional Lao silk weaving in Laos. What began with a few looms and a vision has grown into Mulberries Lao Sericulture, now supporting more than 3,000 farmers, weavers, and artisans across the country through organic silk farming, natural dyes, and cultural preservation. ๐Ÿงต๐ŸŒฟ

Kommaly was part of the collective Nobel Peace Prize nomination recognizing 1,000 women peacebuilders worldwide and received the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2015. โœจ
