Works we carried by Brooks Blair Golden. RIP

Sapere Art mourns the loss of one of our favorite artists Brooks Golden~ART. We exported one of his works to Rome, Italy, the farthest that any one of our treasures went. Brooks Blair Golden Dead: Longtime Chicago and Milwaukee Artist Mourned - Pilsen - DNAinfo.com... The artist - who created Pilsen's owl mural along 16th Street - died Saturday morning.

Dear Friends....after 1,095 days, great friendships, camaraderie, lots of First Fridays, a couple of art shows, and almost 200 works of art sold, the gallery is officially closing.

5,265 people have remained our fans during all of this time for which we humbly thank you.

Over 25 artists put their trust in us to show and display their work, for which we applaud them,

200 works of art sold at Sapere Art, then renamed Vis a Vis Art hang on the walls of clients from California to New York and Canada as well as Rome, Paris, Berlin and even one in Australia-to those people we graciously, with a tear in an eye, honor you, for honoring the artists that we have been proud to represent.

Please continue to follow Jean Marcellin at Vis a Vis art and Gary Marr promises that someday, somewhere, Sapere Art will resurface to continue its goal, to honor its name and it's Latin roots....to taste, to know ...to perceive....art from Chicago artists.
