CCHE is pleased to announce that our 2023 Health Equity Working Paper is not live on our website!

We are grateful for past and current CCHE interns who helped in various parts of the analyzing, writing, and editing process, as well as Maureen Benjamins from Sinai Urban Institute and CCHE's Co-Director Maria Ferrera, for peer review.

The most common themes in our 2023 paper included race (n=121), age (n=45), socioeconomic status (n=36), and gender (n=27). COVID-19 was a prominent topic across themes, particularly in studies that focused on vaccination methods, disparities, and community-level impacts.

We are proud to release our newest interview for Voices of Community Health Equity. This podcast is part of our Belonging in Music series, where we work with local artists in the Chicagoland area to record music about their sense of belonging and community in the City of Chicago. Our first guest for this segment was Runner and Bobby, a band made up of three friends who are local to Chicago. The song is the midst of being finalized and will be released soon. Stay tuned for the song's release and more interviews to come from this project!

Please check out our newest episode of the Voices of Community Health Equity (now on Spotify)!

This spring, we talked with Dr. Molly Netter, who is a dedicated clinician, educator, and researcher whose work bridges family practice, academic instruction, and global health. Dr. Netter told us about her professional journey that has led her to create a partnership between DePaul and Worry Free Health to establish a walk-in clinic for the Woodlawn community and the trust and rapport-building that was built during its creation.
