Throughout my life, I have fought alongside everyday people to tackle hunger, housing injustice, protect abortion access, defend voting rights, and build stronger, more inclusive communities. e in a government that works for all of us, not just the wealthy few. Our country needs and deserves bold solutions that create good-paying union jobs, fight climate change, and ensure every family has access to quality healthcare and education. I am committed to defending our democracy from those who would undermine it, protecting reproductive freedom, and standing up for diversity, equity, and inclusion. That is why I am proposing a Universal New Deal, a comprehensive plan to rebuild our economy and strengthen our communities with justice at its core. The Universal New Deal will invest in green infrastructure and clean energy to combat climate change, while also creating millions of family-sustaining jobs. It will expand access to affordable healthcare, improve public education, and provide strong protections for workers and families. This plan is about building a future where no one is left behind, where opportunity is available to every person, and where our communities are resilient, healthy, and thriving. Things are just too hard right now, but a better future is possible. A future with a strong economy, where not one hard-working American has to live paycheck to paycheck while working a full-time job. A future where we all have access to the best medical care in the world, without needing to pay for insurance, co-pays, prescriptions, or ridiculous out of pocket premiums. A future where we do not have to wait for an insurance company to approve life saving care. A future where homelessness, and child hunger are things of the past. Many of us have been conditioned by those that benefit from the status quo to believe that we cannot make the changes necessary to reach this future, but we can, through a Universal New Deal policy package.
