As a proud partner, we're glad to see the Dorothy A. Swope Foundation do great things! The "Bring the Author to the Classroom" program was a fun way to bring author Monica Swope closer to kids and give them an engaging literary session. We excited to see the program come back in the fall!

Learning Dimensions Founder, Monica Swope, will be at The Jolly Giraffe on Saturday, May 30th at 11am for a children's storytime session! She will be reading from her children's book series. Come out and support!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! This year's theme is "More Good Days, Together." It encourages us to reflect on what a “good” day looks like and use that insight to connect people to the right support at the right time. Learning Dimensions founder Monica Swope's children's book "Brave New Day" is a finalist in the "Inspirational Category" for the Literary Global Book Awards! This is the most inclusive international competition for children's literature, with categories fit for a diverse range of genres and themes. We're thankful to be recognized alongside many other great stories!

Need some book recommendations as the school year winds down? Celebrate AAPI Month and immerse yourself in diversity by reading books written by various authors of color. Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center has a curated list below, but visit your local library for many other suggestions!
