Volunteers who have recently achieved remission from depression can help with a research study that is examining why depression returns or how we can best predict who is at highest risk of depression returning.
The study is conducted at the University of Illinois at Chicago. It involves coming to UIC for 5-8 visits and 6-9 telephone calls over 2 years and includes: a clinical interview, memory testing, brain scans, and at home assessments.
Individuals age 60 or above may be eligible if they have had their depression improve with recent treatment, have no other mental health problems, and are able to have an MRI scan.
Participants will be reimbursed up to $1000 for their time.
