Due to the COVID19 outbreak in Chicago and ILLINOIS the City of Chicago City Hall and Department of Buildings are closed to the general public as of yesterday along with a lot of other county and state Village Halls and agencies. Some of the Department of Building employees will be working from home and some permitting options will be available online in the next few weeks. As of right now we don’t know the complete list of permitting options available as they are trying to figure out additional ones daily. As far as permitting timelines - since we do not have a list of the reviewers that will be working from home, it is difficult to tell you how long would permitting take in the coming weeks. But we will keep you posted as we receive additional information.
