lexy catching on the river Suir, one of the most famous brown trout rivers in all of Europe. Richie Rowe, our guide and a friend. we have known Richie for years. he does not have an email address. another guide, in kenmare, Brendan Grant. The Irish love their ice cream. As you leave this hotel, you can grab a small cup of ice cream. Abbey Kylemore and it's small, miniature cathedral. a very sad story...after he finished building it, he and his wife a couple years later when to Egypt where she got dysentary and died in Cairo 14 days later. Heartbroken, he had a small Cathedral built. buried her there later. He later sold it to the Benedictin order. who made it into an Abbey. Lough Inagh. a famous old Irish Fishing House..we stayed there. another famous Irish Fishing House. called Delphi. located in the famous Delphi Valley...known for the hunger walk. during the potato famine in the 1850s...another very horrible event...
out of 600 who started, only 200 survived. The English did nothing to help the Irish of western Ireland, as they tried to eradicate Catholicism in Ireland. England is famous for their cruelty. The USA helped as best we could. and welcomed the first wave of Irish immigrants. more tomorrow. thank you. zrichard
