1st Ward First (1WF) is the independent Democratic political organization of the 1st Ward.
1WF organizes fundraisers, which benefit the Democrat party in the 1st Ward and local community institutions. Executive Board:

Chicago’s March primary will feature 17 contested races for Democratic Party committeeperson People might not know why the party post is important. But the candidates who are running say they see it as a way to be more inclusive and maybe make a statement about corruption, too.
Finally the Alderman office has opened.
So Alderman La Spata said at the State of the Ward at Goddess that his office will open in 5 days ( jokingly). Last I checked constituents services just don't stop. Poor planning. Hopefully he gets it together quickly.
