A couple things about this piece…
1. It was from a beam that I had written off as unusable. Truth is, I was avoiding the work to make it useable.
2. Sunday morning I came into the shop to remove a massive steel spike embedded in the beam. Took me an hour and a half to get it out. Since it fought so hard to stay in its home, I let it stay with the piece and welded it to the base.

It’s been awhile since I’ve made one of these, and oddly enough…it’s going to Australia (amongst other pieces).
My guy down under creates super unique AIRBNB’s.
Maybe next time I go on a walk about I can check em out.

“Blood Stained Flag”
It’s hard to believe we still have war.
Cars drive themselves, robots deliver smoothies, AI thinks for you, and here we are still throwing rocks at each other.
Sorry…it’s the dumbest s**t when you think about it.
As far as these flags…I’m gonna retire them for awhile. After the cost of materials, shipping and the hours…I can’t make it make sense.
When I calculated my hourly pay after all is said and done….$15.33 per hour.
So…on to other things for the time being.
