As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, the TEN35 team would like to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this sacred time for Muslims around the world.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a period of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. From sunrise to sunset, Muslims abstain from food and drink, engaging in spiritual practices to strengthen their relationship with God.

Ramadan has deep roots in the Black community in America, with a rich history dating back to enslaved African Muslims who practiced Islam in secret. Today, Black Muslims continue to celebrate their unique Islamic heritage, fostering a powerful legacy of faith, resilience, and unity. This Ramadan, we honor their contributions and the enduring spirit of Islam in the Black community.
