PFB Was delighted to provide full Architectural and Design services for The Roosevelt at Salt Creek in Elmhurst, Illinois is a seven-story senior living facility providing independent living, assisted living, and memory care services to its residents. With a full architectural and interior design refresh, the building offers an abundance of amenities, activities, and hospitality services.

The attached photos are of the recently completed Memory Care Wing.

With the reconfiguration, Memory Care becomes a dedicated wing of the second floor. Existing one-bedroom units were renovated to provide safe, memory care-appropriate studios for residents, and new lounge and dining spaces were created, including a Remembrance Lounge with memory-triggering photos; an MC Lounge with back-to-back soft seating facing a water-vapor fireplace on one wall and a television on the other, with activity areas and storage for books, games, and other items; a Dining and Activity room with a warming kitchen disguised as a serving counter and a double-sided fish tank; a Calming Lounge for residents who need less stimulation; and a tactile and interactive Obie Room for sensory engagement.

The overall design concept for this new Primary Care Clinic in Minneapolis, MN reflects a contemporary, first class

healthcare facility that relates to the function and character of the Veteran's Administration while establishing a warm,

rejuvenating experience for patients. The new 13,500 square foot Primary Care Clinic and associated support functions

include: an infection control isolation exam room, procedure rooms specifically designed for specialized treatments,

patient care exam rooms, team rooms, and shared medical appointment rooms. The Primary Care Clinic will be the

first phase of construction, followed by future phases adding an additional 13,300 square foot Clinic space and future

expansion to construct a second floor, all connected to the main hospital building by an enclosed walkway.
