Figure drawing has always been one of my foundational practices, and I continually return to it, weaving the figure into my work through abstraction, line work as a container for color, and expressive sketching.

A moody, colorful abstract landscape featuring one of my favorite themes—potted plants. I think being a kid in the 70's somehow influences my return to the potted plant as subject matter over and over again.
