The organization has a focus on event production, operations of our event and studio space in Wicker Park, truthful content publishing, and creative consulting.
In collaboration with Chicago Loop Alliance, Canvas is currating and producing the 2018 ACTIVATE event series.
The series host is a character named EVO, who is a manifestation of Chicago's collective intentions, and who is able to open portals to enter alternate dimensions full of new sights, sounds, and experiences.
EVO's portal next opens on July 12th at the Sullivan Center Alley for ACTIVATE 2018: TunnelVission. Curated by DRMBT of Canvas, TunnelVision transforms a historic space into a pixelated abyss, bringing Chicago's underground digital media scene to the mainstage. Step through EVO's portal and experiment with music, technology, visual art and interactive media-all in the dock of a building that embodies the city's visionary spirit and post-fire innovation.
