Zombies (also called HvZ for short) is a live-action alternative reality game (ARG) where all but one player begin as Humans and try to survive the growing population of Zombies which extends from one Lead Zombie or "OZ" to the overwhelming majority of players. We return from the dead once more to bring you THE SUNDOWNERS, our Fall 2022 game.
The game will run from Tuesday, October 4th to Tuesday, October 11th with registration running TOMORROW from 8:30pm to 11:00pm at Hutch. There, you can also rent guns from us for $3 and a $9 security deposit which will be returned to you when you give the gun back. This year’s registration fee is $3 and can be paid via cash or Venmo.
At this time, you can pre-register for the game at uchicagohvz.com, which will speed up the registration process tomorrow night.

After a week of struggling for survival, the apocalypse is finally coming to an end! Humans: today is your chance to make it out alive. Zombies: today is your last chance to make sure they don’t.
Extraction will take place at 6:00pm today in the center of the main quad, and humans will have from 5:50pm to 6:00pm to get there. There will be 2 safe zones on the quad (marked with glowsticks) that humans can retreat to.
At extraction, humans will be given the opportunity to kill the necromancer! Throughout the day today, humans have had the opportunity to collect 8 eyeballs. If three eyeballs hit the necromancer (who will be wearing a dark pink bandana) during extraction, he dies.
Throughout the day today and at extraction, zombies will have the opportunity to hunt three high-value targets (each worth 3X zombie points). These humans are Alex Nobert, Alex Torres, and Emilio Levins Page. During extraction, zombies will also have pool noodles that they will be able to throw at humans in order to stun them for 20 seconds.

Today is the day! Registration for Humans vs. Zombies will be open from 8:15pm to 11:00pm at Hutch TONIGHT.
At this time, you can rent nerf guns from us for $10 ($3 + $7 security deposit returned when the gun is returned) while supplies last.
