Drive By Fooding

Drive By Fooding is a 501c3 charity that helps the homeless get back on their feet. In our 1st phase we provided food, clothing, toiletries, and the reminder that there are people who care, for over 1,000 tough individuals. In our next upcoming phase we will be setting up a residence where these homeless warriors can stay while we help them help themselves through proper nutrition, exercise, recre

ational activities, music/art programs, reading/writing exercises, and other beneficial programs. Our focused demographic will be women who need our assistance, as they are most likely to be raped, abused, and in some way taken advantage of when they are homeless. That's not to say we won't accept our brothers also, but to start, and throughout the program, our focus will be helping women. Starting off with a 2+bed, 2+bath residence, (one for each person), volunteers, starting with myself, will live in the residence to act as coaches/helpers, as we schedule our days with activities that will work towards improving the physical and mental health of residents first, and foremost, and then working towards finding employment, and permanent housing. We will create jobs within our program, and provide assistance to those seeking employment elsewhere. This will add experience to their resumes, and help with future employment. Those seeking to further their education and/or secure apprenticeships for skilled trades will also benefit from our help. Finally, we will work with financial gurus who will help people raise their credit scores, and help with general money management. The ultimate goal is to help secure permanent housing, sustainable employment, and improved physical and mental health for as many people as possible. Your donations will greatly help us in our ability to run and expand our programs, and in turn, save the lives of people who thought they were forgotten, as well as benefiting the communities we all live in, work/play in, and visit. NOW HIRING!!! Liberty Tax Service in Gurnee is looking for a waver/office helper to help with marketing. Great news!!! Instead of opening this position up to the general public, Drive By Fooding is joining forces with Liberty Tax Service, by looking for someone living rough that would like a job to help with their expenses, and is also looking for a little help with getting back on their feet. This is a temporary part time job, averaging 25-30+ hours a week, through to the middle of April. We will also be helping the new employee by helping them find other employment to take on after, and/or during the tax season. For more details, and if you know a currently homeless person in Gurnee, or someone willing to relocate, or commute to Gurnee for this job, please contact me asap! I know of a few people around Gurnee Mills, and in many other areas. I will be talking with them in the next few days, but the more options the better, so we can determine who might need the job the most. Thank you for your support!!!
