šŸ“šŸ  HOME OF THE BOOK-THEMED GUIDED RUN

Read & Run Tours is home of the book-themed guided run, a one-of-kind program that blends fitness, literature, and community!

Guides develop running routes where the story takes place with stops that correspond to the book.

The amount of times I had to load and unload those gd balloons 🤣

Five years into hosting community events through Read & Run Chicagoā„¢ļø and now having launched event services for authors here, there’s so much more heavy lifting, tedious logistics, and coordination than I ever realized—but it’s ALL SO WORTH IT.

Do you host community events and what’s your take on this?

Let me know in the comments! šŸ‘‡

This morning, I got to go on a run with one of our past featured Writers Who Run!

This column is helmed by journalist Malissa Rodenburg and explores the work and experiences of just that—writers who run! Whether poets, horror writers, or nonfiction authors, the featured writers talk about the similarities between their two crafts and how one informs the other.

Ben Tanzer (Ben Tanzer) joined our community arm, Read & Run Chicagoā„¢ļø, for our Running Tour of LGNSQ, a tour highlighting the bilingual photography book LGNSQ, a gorgeous book with essays and stories about Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.
