Next Thursday our bassist is leading a group of improvisers featuring our sax player that will be playing the music of the Grateful Dead in a more avant-garde jazzy style at ! Joining them are and on the vibraphone. Music starts at 9 and it’s FREE!!!

A message from Jake. Come to Hey Nonny on Saturday to see him off and reminisce with us!
With a heavy heart, I (Jake the drummer) must announce that this Fridays show at Hey Nonny will likely be my last show behind the drum set with Zoo for the next year.
The past 10+ years working with this project have been an incredible and unforgettable time that I’m so thankful for. It’s been a pleasure leading the group with Derek and Matt, traveling the country and meeting beautiful talented humans along the way.
I will be venturing out to life in France for the current moment and am excited for new opportunities and experiences outside of Chicago. Zoo will be treading new waters with some amazing drummers and exploring new sounds.
Thank you to all who have supported the project over years! I will likely be in the crowd or possibly back on stage - only the future will tell and I’m excited for the road ahead. Come visit me!
