Not home in St. Louis to often to celebrate my Nephews bday so me and his pop my bro spent the afternoon at Dave and Busters
How do you even begin to put so much into one year? This has been one of the most transformative years I’ve had in a long time. 2025 was beautiful in so many ways, from simply having fun with my friends, visiting museums, and traveling, to moments that were deeply life-changing and not even captured in this thread.
There were powerful shifts through becoming more organized, working on the Chicago Soul Poem series with Avery R. Young, countless DJ gigs, and supporting my mom with her book release events. Beyond the work, the family and community moments meant everything, attending my first family reunion in Hazen, Arkansas, celebrating our 20-year high school reunion, and being reunited with one of my best friends.
I’m also incredibly grateful for the amazing collaborations this year, especially with Haibayo, and for all the music that was released along the way. I don’t know what 2026 will hold, but I’m still fully present in the beauty of 2025.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this ride. These are just a few of the moments, but the gratitude is endless.
We’re closing out Pocket Con with a powerful tribute to the legendary Turtel Onli, the Father of the Black Age of Comics. 🖤✨
