The Bells of Summer: afternoon enchantment at Rockefeller Chapel Summer in Hyde Park means that Sunday afternoons are filled with the sound of bells. Carillonneurs from around the world visit our neighborhood and perform on the Laura Spelman Rockefeller

Unwind with our weekly Gentle Yoga class!

Take an hour to find stillness within movement as we breathe, stretch, unwind, and connect deeply. All levels are welcome. A yoga mat is required for this class and is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tuesdays through August 18 / 4-5 PM / Rockefeller Chapel / Free Admission

Austin Ferguson—the Mayo Clinic Carillonneur—is this Sunday’s featured Bells of Summer performer!

Come jam out to his program, which features everything from ABBA and Chappell Roan to folk songs and original carillon music.

In January 2002, Barack Obama (then-Illinois State Senator and a senior lecturer at the Law School) presented the keynote address for the University's Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel.

24 years later, Obama returns to his home neighborhood of Hyde Park for the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center—just down the road from Rockefeller Memorial Chapel!
