We are back! Want to get your name and/or gender marker changed?! Live in Cook County? We will be on April 8, 2026 from 1pm-4pm and on April 15, 2026 from 1pm-4pm. Arrive by 4pm to receive assistance.

Please bring a photo ID and birth certificate if you have access to them. If you do not, we can assist you with getting them.

If you are seeking a name change and have any criminal convictions, please bring any information you may have about your case(s) with you. We will need to know information about your conviction(s) to be able to assist you with your name change.

If you come in person, please be prepared to wait. This is a drop in space, and we are never sure how many people will attend. Bring a snack, book, friend, or something to keep you occupied while you wait.

Due to space and scheduling issues, we are not holding in-person Mobilizations in March. We have added a limited number of virtual appointment slots for Cook County Name and Gender Marker Change support on March 11th and March 18th. Please complete an intake and sign up for a slot using the link in our bio. We will be back in person in April and . You can also fill out an intake to be added to our waitlist for our regularly scheduled monthly Virtual Mobilizations. If you live outside of Cook County, fill out an intake and a staff member will reach out to you to schedule an appointment. We look forward to assisting you!!
