Some last minute highlights of 2025 include the awesome Q&As and films I and Emma Peterson curated for DocuWest back in October.

My third and final festival with DocuWest opened with the excellent environmental thriller "Valve Turners," after which I was remotely interviewed director Steve Bonds-Liptay and activist Annette Klapstein.

I was also ecstatic to bring the film "Outliers & Outlaws" chronicling the q***r history of Eugene, Oregon to Denver, along with its director Courtney Hermann. Our conversation afterward the screening was my favorite of the weekend.

Emma moderated two Q&As after her picks "The Big Green House" and "A Butterfly Has Been Released", both of which were beautiful conversations about community and love. DocuWest was also blessed to have the subject and the director of the centerpiece presentation "Free Fernando" in attendance for a great screening exploring the criminal justice system and prison industrial complex through a wrongly convicted man's decades long fight for justice.

I'm extremely excited as I move on to other festivals, non-profits, and film projects in 2026. Looking forward to all the great cinema I'll be a part of in the future!
